WebSphere eXtreme Scale Installation

This is a high level task of WebSphere eXtreme Scale installation.
  • Download WAS binary and decompress the binary 
  • Install WAS 
  • Apply the latest update (fix pack)
  • Download eXtreme Scale binary
  • Install WXS 
  • Apply the latest update (fix pack)
  • Use profile manager to create WAS profiles
    • Federate notes
    • Create cluster
    • Add members to cluster
  • Use profile manager to create WXS profile (the PMT program will detect the WXS installed and provides the profile choice for WXS
  • Configure WXS
Of course, you want to 1) have X-Window Server if you are running windows, 2) choose to use ssh to tunnel to the server rather than telnet.
