Install WebSphere eXtreme Scale installation 7.1

In general, a topology design, software and hardware systems consistent to IBM system requirements, and capacity planning, build and configuration specification should be in place before build activiy can start.

Stand Alone

1. stopManager, stopNode, stopServer (these processes must be stopped or the results can be unpredictable
2. make sure that JAVA_HOME is properly defined
3. uninstall the previous WXS installation
4. install WXS
5. verify installation

With WAS

1. decide on full installation or client installation
2. install WAS
3. apply WAS a proper version of fix packs
4. stop the Java processes
5. uninstall the previous WXS installation
6. install WXS
7. verify installatin
